Christmas and New Years and Three Birthday...Oh my!

We have been busy, busy, busy this past month with the holidays, visitors and Aurora's birthday. Things are now starting to slow down and return to normal in our house...phew. We had a great Christmas this year, it was so exciting this year since Aurora finally understands what's going on. Audrey enjoyed her first Christmas by mostly sleeping...she did wake up for a bit to open presents and eat. We had a lovely dinner with Aunty Caryn and Uncle Doug. I made a pork roast with scalloped russet and sweet potatoes, stuffing and gravy. And Aunty Caryn made a pineapple upside down cake (from scratch!)...yummy.

The day after Christmas we had more visitors, Uncle Bryan and Aunty Kelly. We had a great time with them. Aurora actually socialized with them and has been asking about them everyday since they left. We had a nice New Years celebration (though most everyone passed out before midnight). You could see the fireworks display on the Embarcadero from our condo - thank goodness we don't have to fight the crowds to enjoy some fireworks.

And as if that wasn't enough action for us, we just celebrated Aurora's third birthday. I still can't believe that she is three already...and that Audrey is two months old. It feels like Audrey has been a part of our family forever now. Well, happy birthday Aurora and happy two months Audrey.

Month One Down

I can't believe how fast time has flown by - Christmas is right around the corner and 2010 will be here in a blink of an eye. Audrey is already one month old and big sister Aurora will be turning three next month.

Audrey is doing great, she has been eating really well and has been gaining a lot of weight. She is also more alert now and is up more during the day. She has been enjoying her time with Grandma and is sad to see her go today.

Aurora is also doing great. She has transitioned to a new class in preschool - very exciting - she is growing up so quickly. I can't believe how much she is learning everyday. It's crazy to think that three short years ago, she was just a baby like Audrey. I can't wait to see them grow up together.

We had a great visit with my mom and will miss her very much. It is now time to start prepping for Christmas and the New Year (and a visit from Uncle Bryan and Aunty Kelly!).

Relaxing with Daddy.

So thankful...

It is that time of year again...turkey time. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year and I was dreading spending it in the hospital. Luckily, Audrey decided to come a wee bit early, allowing me to enjoy a great turkey dinner at home. My parents unfortunately bought their plane tickets to accommodate Audrey's due date and didn't get to meet their newest granddaughter until two weeks after her birth.

We had a great Thanksgiving this year with the family. We are very thankful for everything we have this year and especially thankful for our two beautiful girls. It was great to spend the holiday with our loved ones.

Tummy time.

Trying to push off.
