So thankful...

It is that time of year again...turkey time. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year and I was dreading spending it in the hospital. Luckily, Audrey decided to come a wee bit early, allowing me to enjoy a great turkey dinner at home. My parents unfortunately bought their plane tickets to accommodate Audrey's due date and didn't get to meet their newest granddaughter until two weeks after her birth.

We had a great Thanksgiving this year with the family. We are very thankful for everything we have this year and especially thankful for our two beautiful girls. It was great to spend the holiday with our loved ones.

Tummy time.

Introducing...Audrey Brennan Jeanne Nguyen

Audrey Brennan Jeanne Nguyen was born on November 10th, 2009 at 3:04 am. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20.5 inches long.

I went into labor on the morning of November 9th. Luckily this happened as I was out to door to drop Aurora off at preschool (I was also headed into work for the day). I started to feel funny so Brandon took Aurora to school. Since this was two weeks prior to my delivery date I was still not 100% ready to bring a baby home - for example, we did not have a carseat yet. I was determined to pick up all of our last minute items while I was still early in my labor. Brandon and I spent the day gathering up baby stuff and hanging out at home waiting for the big arrival. I wasn't feeling too bad, so we went out to dinner that night. I finally decided to call the hospital a little after midnight and was asked if we could hold off on to coming to the hospital for 45 minutes since they were backed up for the night. We made it to the hospital around 2 am and Audrey came at 3:04 am. She was the fastest delivery of the night.

We've been home for 10 days now and things have been great. Aurora is a wonderful big sister to Audrey. We can't wait to watch them grow up together. Our family is complete and we couldn't be happier with our new addition. Welcome to the family Audrey!!!
